Memorial Community Meeting

The Casa Grande Youth Commission will be hosting a community meeting for those who would like to get involved with their “Garden of Sunshine Youth Memorial Garden” Project.

The goal of this project is to create a garden in memory of any young person (ages 0-18) who has passed away. Families will have the opportunity to include their child’s name on the memorial wall as a celebration and remembrance of their young life.

The Youth Commission has been working on this project with the guidance of Mark and Sandie Eide of Casa Grande, who lost their son and daughter (Katie and Zack) in a car crash in December of 2009.

This meeting is an open invitation to any family, business, or civic group who would like to know more about the project and how to get involved. The commission invites other youth groups to get involved, too.

The meeting will be held on Monday, November 28th at 5:30 pm at the Parks and Recreation Office – Armadillo Room (404 E. Florence Blvd).

For more information, contact any Youth Commission Member or Donna McBride, Adviser, at (520) 431-3447.
